Ex-India badminton coach Vimal Kumar criticised the decision to exclude several sports from the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 and urged India to not send its team to the event. "There's no need for CWG. It's better to organise the Olympics and Asian Games than CWG...It's pathetic, I'm really disappointed," Kumar added. "I'm deeply disappointed by the decision," Pullela Gopichand said.
