Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2017 for raping two of his disciples, has reportedly been granted a 20-day parole ahead of Haryana Assembly elections. By the time the latest furlough period ends, he would've spent 255 days, or more than eight months, of his prison sentence outside jail.
