Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar criticised Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis for raising objections to Karnataka's proposed move to raise Almatti Dam's height. "I want to tell Fadnavis, you're not a judge. It is our water, our right," he said. Maharashtra's objection is that increasing Almatti Dam's height could cause flooding in Sangli and Kolhapur districts which share border with Karnataka.
