England on Wednesday announced their playing XI for the first ODI against India, which will take place in Nagpur on Thursday. The team will be led by Jos Buttler. Ben Duckett and Phil Salt will open the batting for England. Joe Root will make his return to ODIs for the first time since 2023 and will bat at number three.
