Travancore Devaswom Board has suspended B Murari Babu, Deputy Devaswom Commissioner, over a serious lapse in gold-plating project at Sabarimala temple, officials said. It stated that Murari had reportedly submitted a report in which gold-plated Dwarapalaka idols on either side of sanctum sanctorum were incorrectly recorded as copper sheets.
