India has refuted claims by Azerbaijan that its bid for full Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) membership was blocked over its close ties with Pakistan. "Due to time constraint, a decision on the issue could not be taken by Member States in Tianjin. The matter...[is] under consideration," said Ministry of External Affairs. Azerbaijan had supported Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
