The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has written to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, demanding a ban on Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' in the state. In the letter, they claimed that the film, scheduled to be released on January 17, "tarnishes the image of Sikhs and misrepresents history". The request came a day ahead of the film's theatrical release.
