Film producer Ratan Jain revealed that Salman Khan was offered the role of Aishwarya Rai's brother in 'Josh', which was eventually played by Shah Rukh Khan. He added, "I told [SRK]...Salman doesn’t sound like he wants to do it..now you will have to do it, it’s about my honour now. The next day he called...and said, ‘I am doing it’."
