Balkaur Singh, the father of late singer Sidhu Moosewala, announced that he will contest elections from Mansa in the next Assembly elections in Punjab. "It was my son's unfulfilled wish to reach the Vidhan Sabha (Assembly)...We will fight the election and win. Then I will take a photograph of my son to the Assembly to fulfil his wish," Balkaur added.
