The Railway Board has decided to temporarily rehire retired railway employees who are under the age of 65 in view of the difficulties faced due to vacancies. As per the notification, the scheme will remain in vogue for two years. The rehired retired staff will be paid a monthly salary equal to their last drawn salary minus their basic pension.
