Veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, in a conversation with Aamir Khan, revealed that he tried to convince Aamir to not do 'Lagaan' and 'Rang De Basanti'. "I made a list of what was wrong with 'Lagaan' script...a village hero...wearing a dhoti," recalled Javed. "India's top actor sat in a corner in 'Rang De Basanti' while another actor finished climax," he added.
