The CPI(M)-led LDF won 15 out of 30 wards in Kerala's local body bypolls, while the Congress-led UDF secured 12 wards. Three independent candidates also won, while the BJP-led NDA failed to secure any seats. Kerala LoP VD Satheesan claimed that the results indicate a strong anti-incumbency sentiment among the people in the state.
