Kerala government has approached the Supreme Court (SC) to challenge Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls currently underway in the state. Kerala asked SC to postpone SIR until after local body elections. It said conducting SIR alongside local body elections would affect the smooth conduct of polls. Kerala local body polls would be held on December 9 and 11.
