Former England batter Graham Thorpe's wife, Amanda, said he would "still be alive" if the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) had supported him after sacking him as assistant coach. She added that even "a little bit" of a support framework during the transition would have made "all the difference". Thorpe died by suicide aged 55 on August 4, 2024.
