Over 1 lakh Israelis attended protests in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other cities across Israel on Saturday night to protest against the government’s resumption of fighting in Gaza. Protesters were also rallying against the planned ouster of the head of the Shin Bet domestic intelligence service. Israel resumed large-scale attacks on Gaza on Tuesday to pressurise Hamas to release hostages.
