Pune experienced intense pre-monsoon showers, recording 18.7 mm of rainfall, leading to waterlogging and traffic disruptions. A resident, Sonali Gaikwad, noted that the rain was a "welcome relief from the scorching heat", but waterlogging due to incomplete road work created travel difficulties. An official from the PMC said that they had instructed contractors to complete all unfinished work soon.
