Character.AI will ban users aged 18 and under from having conversations with its AI companions from November. This comes after multiple lawsuits accused the company of endangering children, as a 14-year-old took his own life after developing an emotional attachment to a character he created on Character.AI. The company allows users to create characters for open-ended conversations.
