The nominees for the 'Best Director' award include Kiran Rao for 'Laapataa Ladies', Amar Kaushik for 'Stree 2', Anees Bazmee for 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', Aditya Suhas Jambhale for 'Article 370' and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat for 'Kill'. Vidhu Vinod Chopra won the 'Best Director' award in 2024 for '12th Fail'.
