A US commission has accused China of launching a disinformation campaign after India carried out Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. It stated that China used fake online accounts to propagate AI and video game images of "debris" falsely claiming they were from planes Chinese weaponry destroyed. China wanted to hinder sales of French Rafale jets in favour of its own J-35s.
