IAS officer Rajeev Verma, who'll take charge as new Chief Secretary of Delhi on October 1, hails from Uttar Pradesh. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Roorkee and M.Tech from IIT. Rajeev, 58, served as Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Finance in Delhi from 2018 to 2022. He was Joint Secretary in Defence Ministry from 2013 to 2017.
