The temporary 'mini moon', 2024 PT5, is set to leave Earth on Monday after orbiting the planet for nearly two months. Scientists at NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies suspect that the asteroid, which is around 33 feet in diameter, could be a "chunk" of rock ejected by the Moon during a collision years ago.
