Half of Karan Johar-owned Dharma Productions will be acquired by Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla. Dharma Productions was searching for an investor and they finally found him in Adar. Karan confirmed that Adar will acquire 50 percent of Dharma Productions. It is also said that he will be investing ₹1000 crore into Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment.
