Election Commission will conduct nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in phases from early November, starting with states going to polls in 2026 and a few others, The Indian Express reported. EC held a meeting with chief electoral officers to assess preparations for this. Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal may expect SIR in first phase.
