In Wadala, Leoba and Anthony Selveraj died after a BEST wet lease bus, operated by Daga Group, hit them. The bus, travelling from Veer Kotwal Udyan to Bharani Naka on Route A-174, struck victims who were walking on roadside. The accident involving BEST and SMTATPL prompted an official investigation and raised concerns about pedestrian safety and wet lease bus operations.
