A US military aircraft that landed in Amritsar was carrying over 100 deported Indian nationals from Haryana, Gujarat, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, reports said. The highest number of deportees – 33 each – are from Gujarat and Haryana, followed by 30 from Punjab. Two of the deportees are from Uttar Pradesh, while three are from Maharashtra.
