India's unemployment rate dropped for the second consecutive month to 5.1% in August. Urban male unemployment rate fell from 6.6% in July to 5.9% in August, and rural male unemployment rate dropped to 4.5%, its lowest level in five months. Meanwhile, the Worker Population Ratio (WPR) among females rose from 30.2% in June to 32.0% in August.
