Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) President Sourav Ganguly revealed that India haven't yet requested a "rank turner" for their first Test against South Africa in Kolkata. Meanwhile, pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee said, "It's going to be a good sporting wicket with help for both batters and bowlers". He added, "There will be assistance on offer for the spinners as well."
