Maharashtra government has announced that a memorial will be built to honour Mumbai Police officer Tukaram Omble, who made the supreme sacrifice during 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai. The memorial will be constructed in Omble's native village Kedambe in Satara district. Notably, Omble, who was killed while capturing terrorist Ajmal Kasab, was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra in 2009.
