Punjab Police filed at least a dozen FIRs against more than 100 social media handles after receiving complaints of objectionable content targeting CJI BR Gavai, according to reports. FIRs were filed against YouTuber Ajeet Bharti and an editor of a news website for belittling the CJI with casteist remarks in their discussion. FIRs have been registered under the SC/ST Act.
