After arresting 22 protesters from India Gate, Delhi Police told the court that they "came completely equipped", used pepper spray on police personnel, and raised slogans in support of slain Maoist Madvi Hidma. They claimed to protest against the capital’s toxic air, police said, adding they refused to disperse. Some police personnel are currently being treated in a hospital.
