The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has issued the draft Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2025, for public feedback until October 31. The draft makes violations of the rules a non-bailable offence and holds company staff liable for facilitating breaches. It also grants legal protection to authorised officers conducting searches and seizures under the Act.
