Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Punjab's Ropar, Harcharan Singh Bhullar, was arrested after his aide was caught red-handed accepting an ₹8 lakh bribe for him, reports said. The 2009-batch IPS officer is the son of Punjab ex-DGP Mehal Singh Bhullar. He was a Punjab Police Service officer and later inducted into IPS. Cash and jewellery were recovered from his house.
