UN Security Council has endorsed proposals put forward by US President Donald Trump for peace in Gaza and authorised a temporary international force to provide security in the devastated territory. The 15-member Council voted 13-0 in the resolution's favour, with China and Russia abstaining. Lauding the move, Trump called it "one of the biggest approvals in the history of UN".
