India rejected Pakistan's reports claiming that New Zealand & Australia dismissed India's ownership claims of basmati rice, officially recognising it as a Pakistani product. Officials said India already holds a logo mark registration in New Zealand. The Indian application said basmati is special long-grain aromatic rice grown, produced in a particular geographical region of Indian sub-continent.
