Indian Railways tested crowd control measures at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday by limiting unreserved passengers to one platform. All Maha Kumbh special trains were also scheduled from that platform based on demand. Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told PTI the trial was successful as it prevented overcrowding. The test comes after a stampede last week that killed 18 people.
