NPCI is looking forward to developing an AI-powered parking payment system, going beyond traditional FASTag RFID technology, said CEO Dilip Asbe. "Instead of using the RFID system, we are looking at having camera read number plate and debit FASTag," he said. "AI will be used to convert that image into a number…we will be partnering with several startups," he added.
