A US soldier who fled South Korea during a sightseeing tour and entered North Korea has been freed after he pleaded guilty to desertion. Travis King was sentenced to 12 months but was released due to time served and good behaviour. He pleaded guilty to five charges in plea deal that was accepted on Friday by a military judge.
