YSRCP leader K Kanna Babu accused Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu of turning cyclone Montha into "publicity festival while neglecting farmers' distress". He said while farmers were "crying in their fields", CM was "celebrating in air-conditioned command rooms". Babu also questioned cyclone loss report, noting only ₹829 crore was shown as crop loss out of ₹5,200 crore total damage.
