According to research presented at the EPSC-DPS2025 Joint Meeting in Helsinki, if alien civilisations exist, they might be around 33,000 light-years away. Scientists said such civilisations would need to be at least 2.8 lakh years old, possibly millions, to exist concurrently with us. They added that alien life is likely extremely rare and far more advanced than humans.
