Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi called the alleged gang rape of an Odia student in West Bengal's Durgapur "highly condemnable and painful". CM Majhi stated he was "deeply shocked upon hearing this news" and asked "West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to take exemplary action against the accused." He added that Odisha government will provide all assistance to the victim's family.
