Punjab and Haryana High Court denied relief to an advocate whose candidature for a judiciary post was rejected after he mistakenly declared he has more than one wife on the application. The petitioner's counsel argued that it was a "genuine mistake". "You yourself state...you have two wives...If you declare it wrongly, then what is their fault," the Chief Justice said.
