TCS witnessed its workforce fall below six-lakh mark for the first time in over three years amid a broad restructuring exercise and layoffs impacting about 2% of employees. At September quarter (Q2 FY26) end, TCS reported 593,314 employees, dropping over 19,755 from the previous quarter. Voluntary attrition in the IT services segment stood at 13.3% over the past 12 months.
