External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar extended wishes to Papua New Guinea's Foreign Affairs Minister Justin Tkatchenko on the island country's 50th Independence Day. He said that India is committed to strengthening Indo-Pacific cooperation with them. Jaishankar mentioned that India gifted 8,000 bottles of electoral/indelible ink to their Electoral Commission in June 2025, valued at $2,17,000.
