Air pollution was the biggest health risk for Delhi residents, linked to nearly 15% of all deaths in 2023, a study showed. An analysis of the latest Global Burden of Disease (GBD) data showed that toxic air killed 17,188 in 2023. Delhi's population lost nearly 4.9 lakh years of healthy life due to polluted air, said an expert.
