A court in Belgium cleared the extradition of fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi as it accepted a request by Belgian prosecutors, reports said. The court held that the request to extradite him was valid. While he can still appeal this decision in a higher court, a senior official said, "He may not come immediately but a very important stage is cleared."
