The Supreme Court on Tuesday flagged a "worrying trend" of criminalising long-term consensual relationships after they turn sour. The court said this while quashing an FIR against a man accused of rape by a woman who was in a relationship with him for over 9 years. "The complainant was fully aware that the appellant was already married," Supreme Court added.
