Fomalhaut, a bluish-white star about 25 light-years from Earth, will be visible in the southern night sky this autumn. Nearly twice the Sun's size and 16 times brighter, it has two faint companions. Nicknamed 'The Solitary One', Fomalhaut stands out as the only bright star in an otherwise dim region, making it easily identifiable for navigators.
