A palliative nurse in Germany was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing 10 patients and trying to kill 27 others to reduce his workload during night shifts, Reuters reported. Prosecutors informed Aachen court that the man injected elderly patients with sedatives and painkillers. Court said that these crimes, committed between December 2023 and May 2024, carried "particular severity of guilt".
