Twenty four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic claimed he was poisoned by hotel food while he was detained in Australia ahead of Australian Open 2022. Djokovic stated he felt unwell when he returned to Serbia after being deported due to not being vaccinated against COVID-19. He added that he underwent tests, which showed he had high level of heavy metal.
