Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal claimed UK and Germany sought exemptions from US over sanctions imposed on their companies for buying Russian oil. Responding to the claim, UK Trade Minister Chris Bryant said the matter was regarding a specific British subsidiary of Russia's Rosneft and that UK had sorted issues with Germany. Goyal countered him, saying, "Then why single out India?"
